The single cinema operations then became a two screen complex and The Cinema
Centre thrived.
In 1995 the Cinema Centre began the process of adding new screens, to become
a multiplex cinema experience and one of the largest of its kind in Regional
Australia. 2004 also welcomed another three screens including a Gold Class cinema
and Showcase cinema for Arthouse films.
Cinema 1 is currently listed as part of the Heritage Trust of Australia.

the closure of Albury's other cinemas, The Regent forged ahead and formed an
association in the late 70's with the progressive Village Roadshow Corporation.

built for live theatre and the Vaudeville days the Regent as it was known
back then became the number one Cinema in Albury Wodonga.
